A great intro into Tardi's Léo Malet work. I only wish that Fantagraphics would make releasing these a priority, or at the very least combine multiple stories into one book. This book leaves you wanting more but there's not another Nestor Burma book on the horizon in the foreseeable future according to the Fantagraphics release list.
I loved this one -- it's moody, funny, cruel and deep. And the ending will stun you. My only complain is that I don't have a stack of Léo Malet books waiting for me; very few have been translated into English.
