Know who you are and what you bring to the table. Look for people who can help you achieve your goals through mentoring or networking. Know your plan and work your plan, and help others along the way.
I was excited when I read the description of this book and could barely wait to start reading it. The book is packaged nicely, but I was expecting a little more substance. I really wish the authors would have shared more of their hurdles and how they overcame obstacles. As someone who is planning her next career move I wished there were more examples of how to overcome. I read the book as more of a motivational cheerleading resource than an actual playbook of laws and strategies for success. Overall, I think this would be a phenomenal book for a young lady graduating college about to embark on corporate America. It wasn't as helpful as I would have liked for myself; a 10-year professional in my field.I would still recommend for purchase.
This is a great book! It gives tidbits that you probably haven't thought of or have forgotten. I have sticky notes all over this book! I really love the "Mamism's" that they give you. It feels like information that is coming from your successful big sisters or aunts. Glad I purchased it!
