I can't believe I have not left a review on this book. I love cherise Sinclair. I enjoyed this book very much. I like the fact that the characters are an older couple but actually not really. The woman in the story has raised her children already. What I like the most is that the couple have real chemistry. That's the thing about Ms. Sinclair is that she can really put together a picture of two people having chemistry. The power exchange is very realistic and something to actually enjoy. It's not over the top boring on abuse some books have been writing. It's actually real power exchange. I have read this story three times.
4 âï¸I enjoyed this one better than the first. Simon is a good character and not as overpowering as Logan, so I connected better with him. I really liked Rona. I liked that she was an older character who wasn’t afraid to take charge when required, and I also enjoyed that she made the younger Dom lose control of the scene. I thought that was funny.The chemistry between the two was off the charts and well done. It was good seeing her being the handbrake and I understood her reasons for it. After seeing more of Logan, Becca and Jake I’m looking forward to Jake’s book
I made an unwitting mistake. The first book in the bdsm romance genre I ever read was by Cherise Sinclair. My mistake was that I thought all books would be wonderfully characterized and intricately wrought stories. I found out otherwise! Only a handful of writers come close to Cherise Sinclair's talent. This novella is a wonderful taste of her writing. If you haven't read her other books, DO SO!! So very worth your time!
Like most of Sinclair's stories, this one was a winner. But I gave it only 4 stars b/c of the length. There's a reason her books run 200-300 pages, she takes the needed time to develop her characters so you understand why they're doing what they're doing.... this book @ barely 100 didn't allow for the necessary structure.The ending just seemed to ..... end. I'm sure Simon & Rona, like most of Sinclair's other characters will surface in her other Dark Haven books when other characters find their HEA, but this story deserved more of a proper "tie up" than it was given.Lots of heat & realistic intro into the BDSM scene but left me hanging.
Love this series, strong and sensitive men with women who want to explore a better and more fufilling sex life. BDSM is about control, about relinquishing that control for the sub. But it's not just sex but the Doms ability to see into the soul of their sub and take care of her (or him). This is a great story about the meeting of two people, one lonely, well both are lonely, it's about letting go and letting someone in. The author is killing me here, where can I find my own Dom? It's about cherishing each other. Great read, not dark, full of heart.
The characters are alive and complex. Simon is absolutely drool worthy. Well, he has decided that he wants a mature woman to be his submissive not a young flipping woman. Will Rona be able to take that step? A sexy, delightful story. I would like to hear more about Simon and Rona.
Simon is a very experienced Dom he has played a lot but hasn't had one sub that he wanted to keep tell her meets Rona now he can get her out of his head. She has just went through a Divorce and her kids are grown now she is trying to fill a bucket list and have some fun out of life. Little does she know one night of fun at a BDSM club will change her whole life. So enjoy the read and see how they go about finding their HEA ! !
Great story involving Simon and Rona who are older and wiser participates in BDSM. The story was good and the sex great. It just seems too short and not finished.
